University of Baltimore School of Law students were honored for a variety of academic and service accomplishments on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the school’s 21st Annual Awards Ceremony, which was held in the Moot Courtroom. Honors were also given to several faculty and staff members. Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice Caroline Ciraolo, LL.M. ’94, gave remarks. She reflected on her time at UB, where she earned a master of laws in taxation, and passed along key advice she said she’d found useful throughout her career — including the importance of being kind: “You can be a wonderful lawyer — a fierce and amazing advocate — all while being kind to those you encounter.”
