DLA Professor of Law Michael I. Meyerson will introduce international bestselling author Dan Jones at a Baltimore event celebrating the publication of Jones’s latest book, Magna Carta: The Making and Legacy of the Great Charter.

Meyerson and Jones will speak Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at The Church of the Redeemer (5303 N. Charles St., Baltimore 21210).

From Amazon.com: “From the New York Times-bestselling author of The Plantagenets comes a beautifully produced account of the signing, impact and legacy of a document that became one of the most influential statements in the history of democracy.”

Meyerson said he will discuss the importance of the 13th-century Magna Carta in modern times “as a way to restrain arbitrary governmental action and as a symbol of the need to ensure that those in government are bound by the rule of law.”
