Paul Thaler, J.D. ’12, assistant director in the Law Career Development Office, has been named a 2016-17 fellow in the Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy.

Every year, up to 15 fellows are chosen to take part in the academy, a 12-month program designed to help lawyers become better leaders. During their term, the fellows attend MSBA events, develop and implement a public-service project and participate in a program focused on public speaking, media relations, interviewing skills, budgeting and other topic areas.

Fellows also spend time getting to know past bar presidents and current bar leaders to learn more about the MSBA and to enhance their leadership skills.

MSBA members interested in taking part in the Leadership Academy may submit an application starting in January of each year. See the MSBA website FAQs page for information about the application process.

Congratulations, Paul!
