UB law students and faculty faced off Saturday afternoon (Oct. 22, 2016) at Bar Bowl XXXI, held in the infield at Baltimore’s Pimlico race course. The students won the annual football competition, though no one is quite sure of the score.

Part-Time Assistant to the Junior Deputy Associate Coach Dave Jaros had this to say:

“Bar Bowl is important. While the faculty-student game is not, perhaps, synonymous with athletic achievement (or good sportsmanship), it remains a special opportunity for students to interact with staff and faculty in a festive environment outside the classroom.  Such interactions foster the kind of school community that I think makes the school a special place to work and cultivates the kind of relationships that mark our most loyal alums.  In short, contrary to what many may assume, Bar Bowl is a valuable part of the UB Law experience and culture.”

Congratulations to the students for their victory and to the faculty for not breaking anything!
