Two UB law alums appointed to Baltimore County Circuit Court

Two UB law alums have been appointed to the Baltimore County Circuit Court by Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, The Baltimore Sun reported Wednesday (Nov. 16, 2016).

C. Carey Deeley Jr., J.D. ’79, and Dennis M. Robinson Jr., J.D. ’02, have “a wealth of legal knowledge and experience” that will serve them well as judges, the governor said in a statement.

Deeley is a partner at Venable, where he has practiced since 1989. His specialties are commercial law, product liability and personal-injury litigation.

Robinson, a partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, where he has practiced since 2006, specializes in product liability and business litigation.

Deeley and Robinson will fill two new judgeships created this year by the General Assembly. They are to be sworn in within the next 30 days, according to The Sun.
