UB Pres. Schmoke to Discuss ‘Non-Lawyer’ Career Opportunities for Those with J.D. Degrees on Oct. 13 Panel

UB President Kurt L. Schmoke will join a panel discussion for lawyers interested in careers that do not involve the practice of law. The webinar will be moderated by Maryland Del. Shaneka Henson, a 2010 graduate of UB School of Law.

Panelists will describe career opportunities where a Juris Doctor degree can be an advantage and share their own professional experiences.

The webinar, on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at noon, will be hosted by the Anne Arundel Bar Association‘s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Find more information here.

In addition to Schmoke and Henson, who is principal legal counsel with the Annapolis-based Johnson Legal Group, the panel will include Sheila Ruffin, founder of Soca Caribbean Yacht Charters; and David Hodnett, client advisor with Brown Advisory.
